This Shepway District Council owned notice board is at the main entrance to the beach, next to the childrens' playpark, in the Greatstone car park.
The notice board had been in dilapidated state with no notices for some time and did no credit either to Kent Tourism, Shepway Tourism or Greatstone.

Given this, Shepway DC agreed to greatstone.net's proposal, that, under licence, we give the notice board a once off makeover eg to replace the 'glass' and board, repaint it etc to improve its appearance, and then keep the board regularly updated with notices about Greatstone and local tourism service businesses and organisations.

Notice Board Project

The project works as follows:
1. The project is managed on a voluntary not-for-profit basis by greatstone.net.
2. Businesses/organisations who would benefit from visitors to Greatstone, can advertise on the Notice Board.
3. greatstone.net keeps the board up to date with local tide times, local information notices and the adverts.

Such businesses/organisations receive:

• A much improved notice board facility for Greatstone, at the most used entrance to Greatstone Beach
• A space on the board to advertise themselves. The adverts will be prepared free of charge by greatstone.net to ensure consistency of style and presentation.
  The adverts' sizes will start at approximately 14.8x10.5cm (P or L) ie A6, with images, customised fonts, font size etc to suit.
